Resumo: The environmental impact of golf courses has been a constant source of concern since the late 1980s. A number of regional governments in Spain have passed regulations to control the disturbing effects of golf courses over the landscape, on the one hand, and over water supplies, on the other. Widespread assessment of environmental impact and the use of treated sewage water have both contributed to minimize the negative effects of these tourist facilities, which are becoming an interesting attraction for all seasons.
