Resumo: In recent decades campings has been one of the fastest-growing tourist accommodation options in Spain: between 1980 and 2002, the number of campgrounds went up 52’76%, and their capacity rose 60’22%. Although they exist in every province of the country, campgrounds are mainly located in coastal areas, and in many places they outnumber hotel accommodations.
