Resumo: This paper sketches an approach to the concept of Tourism Policy, which is the main tool of the Tourism Administration.
We adress to B. A. in Tourism students, which have to endure the still existing difficulties to find the specific bibliography they will need during their studies.
Our aim is, therefore, to make more accessible to these students the concept of Tourism Policy. The topic is developped gradually: Starting from its Economic Policy origins, we move forward step by step, to finally analyze the various facts, attitudes and points of view confluent in what is presently termed Tourism Policy.
We intend to provide a basic understanding of the matter. For a deeper knowledge, readers should refer to the bibliography listed in the paper.
