Resumo: The present paper is aimed as a study on the activity carried out by the travel agencies in their legal regulation, pointing out the different funtions fulfilled by these retailer companies of the tourist services and the legal difficulties that arise in that performance as well as the relationship with the wholesalers, other retailers and the clients. Summing up this is a survey on the regulations of travel agencies regarding their activities and goals with speciel stress on specific problems that could stem. Such problems should be taken into account in the future new regulation in order to provide solutions, also mentioned here, for numerous difficulties such compamies have to face.
