Resumo: The present research on the proffesional situation of the graduates in Tourism Studies highlights the advantages which their comprehensive education involve when entering the labour market. Such qualifications are composed of a number of areas related to tourist business management as well as the idea of tourism as a macro-economic phenomenon. Any curriculum should respect the balance between the areas relating to business management in tourism and macroeconomics.
