Resumo: The development of intensive agriculture and, especially, the agricultural occupation of the flat bottoms of the «ramblas», has led to a sedimentary imbalance in the beaches of «Marina de Cope». The retreat of the coastline ranging from 16 to 68 m, and the surface decreased is estimated at 50% of the occupied area in 1956.This has meant a potential capacity reduction, and for a intensity use of 25 m2/user, has gone from 4.400 potential users per day to 2.200. This implies, for the months of use of these beaches, July and August, a potential capacity loss of 130.000 users.
