Resumo: This article examines recent tourism studies about the city of Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, which were based destination management policies, from the perspective of the determinants of competitiveness as defined by Dwyer & Kim (2003), in their conceptual model «Integrative Model». Verifies dimensions, determinants and indicators of competitiveness have been considered. The results indicate that the reports have included all dimensions of competitiveness, with its determinants recommended by Dwyer and Kim, though that was not developed with this objective and theoretical base. But concerning the indicators of measures of the determinants, empirical verification has not exhausted all recommended by the model.
