Resumo: To a decade of the creation of the National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR) (with Law 25.997/05), the article discusses its results in the contribution to the demand that originates it: consolidate international arrivals and position Argentina as international destination. Focusing on policy analysis, this study identifies the different stages of the policy (design, implementation and evaluation) and their outputs and outcomes. The findings suggest that INPROTUR develops an effective policy, which positions Argentina in the main international tourist markets, and even receives industry recognition; but not effective enough, to contribute to the its main demand.
