Resumo: This research refers to a demand that exists in Medellin, Colombia, related to international tourism interested to know more about the history of the era of the 80s, and specifically about PABLO ESCOBAR GAVIRIA, who was a protagonist of the violence experienced bythe city in that decade. Although there is already an offer tours on this theme, the leadactors responsible for tourism in the city, show little interest in offering this product. Consequently, this emerge from an exploratory and descriptive work in 2012, through observation of the offered tours, interviews, websites review and a consultation about the experiences from other destinations with asimilar problematic to Medellin, where it wasfound that they have managed to become into Tourist attractions for the eyes of tourists, places and monuments associated to a past unwanted, slowing with some strategies, the emotional impact of the residents.
