Resumo: This article presents a general view about the facts allowing medical tourism to develop. The article is presented in a logical format including epistemological aspects as well as a robust and critical focus allowing the reader to assimilate the complexity of the topic in a measured and technical way. It also explores how to implement these concepts and characteristics pragmatically as a whole. It also presents an original proposal by the author on how to take on these challenges. This model for problem solving integrates elements of the holistic and heuristic methods, in thus, providing concepts to design what a true medical tourism industry should have to be competitive as well as successful.
