Resumo: High Andean moor is a fragile tropical ecosystem that has the important function of regulating water resource, vital for all species (IAVH, 2007). Colombia is one of six countries where this ecosystem is, whit a coverage of 2.5% in its land area (León, Jiménez & Marín, 2015). However, different productive activities –such as extensive agriculture, mining and ranching– have caused changes that alter its natural balance (IAVH, 2007). With respect to this situation, this article considers one alternative as result of implementing an exploratory and participatory methodology carried out on the moors of Laguna Verde (Cundinamarca) and La Cortadera (Boyacá), for families living in the wilderness develop a productive activity with low environmental impact, along the lines proposed for the development of vegetable garden under the focus of agro-ecology with agro-ecotourism purposes.
