Resumo: This research paper proposes strategic guidelines for the management of tourism in the district of Buenaventura. For the above, it was based on the realization of a diagnosis, which included a multidimensional analysis of the environmental, social, economic, and institutional political dimensions. An analysis of the tourist situation was also carried out, consisting of an inventory of tourist attractions, an analysis of tourism supply, a demand analysis, and a dofa analysis, highlighting its main weaknesses, opportunities, strengths and threats of tourism In Buenaventura. With respect to the Inventory of tourist attractions, the main natural and cultural tourist attractions that the district has with its proper description and definition of importance evidenced in the classification and level of hierarchy that was given to each attraction according to the methodologies cicatur/oas and the Ministry of Commerce and Tourism of Colombia (2010). Finally, the areas of action, strategies, actions, responsible and time were established that will allow to materialize the strategic guidelines for the management of tourism in Buenaventura, hoping that the implementation of these will lead to improve the current situation in this matter.
