Resumo: The present work is in line with the situation of tourist accommodations in the face of the climate and energy challenges detailed in the Paris Agreement (ONU, 2015a) and the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development (ONU, 2015b). This context of increasing complexity is compounded by the current covid-19 pandemic scenario. Thus, the objective is to analyze the energy dynamics in the tourist accommodations located in the Province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), to identify the challenges and opportunities involved in the efficient appropriation of energy in order to contribute to the internationally agreed-upon objectives. The study is of an exploratory-descriptive nature for which a quali-quantitative approach has been adopted through a multiscale analysis. The results show the existence of political, economic, socio-cultural, technical, and environmental factors that act as drivers and barriers to the implementation of measures related to an efficient use, consumption and production of energy.
