Resumo: The growth of rural tourism in the Dominican Republic eminently tourism, whose specialization in the so-called 'sun and beach' tourism has been practicing at this time, this poses significant challenges in its management, particularly in the area of marketing. The characteristics of this tourist typology and the need to preserve and conserve the environment in which it is developed, condition the actions to be carried out in this area and require adequate planning that takes into account not only the benefits derived from this tourist activity but also the expenses it generates. In this research work, we analyze the factors to consider when implementing tourism actions in the rural environment (Licey-Tamboril) and the need to evaluate the impacts, both positive and negative, that this would generate in the area. Likewise, the communication factor will be addressed, since it understands that its role is basically the sustainable growth of rural tourism. This research will address very important issues for the municipalities of Licey Almedio and Tamboril, which are adjacent, mainly by the road called DE LA PEÑA, have in common, a natural resource of great importance and this represents the tree of the Ceiba, which is more than a thousand years old, representing the oldest natural resource of the Antilles.
