Resumo: This article seeks to point out the potential of literary tourism, correlating the issues that connect tourism and literature. The writings are the results of a research conducted during the course of Final Project Seminars at Bahia State University and aim to present a proposal for a tourist itinerary in the city of Salvador-Bahia-Brazil based upon the work “Bahia de Todos os Santos guia das ruas e mistérios” of the writer Jorge Amado. For this, we used a bibliographical and documental basis. The preliminary result is the presentation of the tour itinerary proposal and conclusions infer that the city of Salvador has a great potential for the development of literary tourism because of its cultural richness and the important works of Brazilian literature that represent the city.
