Resumo: The Cristo del Consuelo procession is a religious event celebrated each year on Good Friday, which brings together more than 500,000 Roman Catholic worshippers in the city of Guayaquil (Ecuador) to commemorate the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. The purpose of this study is to identify the motivations of attendees and measure their satisfaction with the event. The study was carried out on 30 March 2018 using a quantitative methodology consisting of a questionnaire survey of 134 attendees. The main motivations for attending the event included faith, promotion of family unity and participation in the procession. Satisfaction was shown to be high in relation to variables such as advertising, visibility and duration of the procession.
