Resumo: This paper provides some general considerations about the use of modern information and communication technology in the alternative dispute resolution procedures that developed in the field of e-commerce. To do this, we proceed to an analysis of the main distinguishing features of these methods, with special emphasis on ODR arbitration systems and its potential applicability to settle disputes arising within the tourism sector.
