Resumo: The importance of cultural tourism within the European touristic industry and the importance of visiting museums as some of the most popular activities, has encouraged the study of the universal accessibility to museums. For this, our field work has been based on the evaluation of the degree of accessibility of the museums at Caen and its museographic exhibitions. The results show that the museums of Le Mémorial, Musée de Normandie and the Musée de Beaux Arts de Caen (France), are not fully universally accessible to all and for all people with disabilities.
