Resumo: One of the sectors most affected by the health and economic crisis caused by COVID-19 is tourism, because the demand for tourism services has fallen drastically. This situation can be worse if tourism organizations do not consider changes in the behavior of tourists, who demand sustainable products. This research identifies the value of the information generated by the networks that the tourism industry has with stakeholders in the development of sustainable innovations. We conducted a bibliometric analysis of high-impact scientific articles that considered the subject of sustainable innovations from the years 2000 to 2020. We consider those that have evidence on the use of knowledge networks with stakeholders as a source of external information. We find that customers, suppliers and competitors are the most used sources in the development of innovations. However, sustainable innovations with the environment and with the community, consider the knowledge of the inhabitants of the place where the tourist company is installed, because they have greater knowledge about the problems involved in caring for the environment in a close way, they know about the cultural, artistic and craft roots of the place and get involved with their environment. Keywords: sustainable innovations; absorption capability; knowledge networks; stakeholders; tourism; COVID-19.
