The University of São Paulo Group of Studies and Research in Physical Activity Epidemiology and Health (GEPAF) has as object of study physical activity in populations.
GEPAF brings together researchers and students interested in factors influencing physical activity and in interventions to promote it, especially on the population level. Its researchers have been working mainly on two fields:
1) Healthy environments to physical activity promotion;
2) Physical activity promotion in the Brazilian Unified Health System ("Sistema Único de Saúde").
The group has bi-weekly open meetings, where scientific papers, projects and its results are discussed.
